Hey everyone I am new to this forum and I have a current problem with my 96 Gt that does not want to start. It cranks until the battery dies but it won't turn over and I have currently replaced the fuel filter and Ign. switch and still nothing. I have checked to see if the fuel pump is working correctly and it is, the car has plenty of fuel pressure and spark. I have heard of the PATS system having problems but it doesn't seem to be this either, I can spray starter fluid into throttle bottle and the car will run 3-5 sec. and it shuts off which also tells me there is good spark but at this point I am cluess I am currently thinking about bad gas maybe. The car has sat outside for 3-5 months and it was running just fine before, the filler tube gasket at the gas tank has torn and the car was leaking some fuel before I let it sit, would this cause any problems? I am so frustrated and can't seem to figure this one out, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

check fuses and grounds to PCM , sounds like the injectors are spraying for some reason , is the theft light blinking when you are trying to start it ?

Fixed it for ya and I agree.

OP how did you ascertain that there's plenty of fuel pressure?

I have checked the fuses and found a 40amp blown for the rear defrost but that's all I found. PCM is getting power and I checked the fuel pressure by using the valve on the fuel rail and it has a ton of pressure behind it, it shoots fuel out like a mad man lol. The theft light is not doing anything different, it doesn't flash it cuts off once the switch is on for 3-5 sec. I was thinking maybe it was the PATS transciever but it doesn't seem to be that as I have tried my extra key as well. Where would the grounds be for the PCM, I will check those as well but these are great suggestions thanks for your input.

BTW I hooked my programmer up to the car and got plently of readings for codes etc. I figure this couldn't be done without the PCM working.
