96 GT vibration?? help!!!

I have a 5 speed not an auto.. I was just saying that auto gears would probably be an upgrade.. BTW U-joints made the stang like a new car again and i actually picked up alot of power! driveshaft must have really been out of wack!

You didn't pick up power it feels like it though right? That's what it felt like to me when I replaced the DS.

If there was an issue with the drive shaft and now it’s fixed you certainly could pick up rwhp. You’re not getting more power out of your motor but you’re getting the power to the ground better.

Yup, no additional power, just putting it to the ground. The weight reduction is nice and the less strain on your driveline is too.

Thats what i ment.. felt like the engine was working against some un-seen force untill i fixed it..

Yeah you just planted more power to the ground, that's where you want it to go. Glad it helped out your ride, no more annoying vibrations

Figured out my mystery vibration... front u-joint $15 no biggie... Thanks for the info.. Car is bone stock so far... Need a cat-back one of the factory mufflers is blown... Ordered a cai... Also going to add a short throw shifter and UD pulleys..

if you have any type of power demanding sound system ud pulleys prolly wouldnt be a good idea.

I just have the mach 460 sound system no plans on a crazy audio setup... got a nice one in the t-bird happy with the mach 460 for now so UD's shouldnt hurt me there.
