96 gt with 03 engine

im looking into installing a 03 gt engine on my 96 does any one know if i will have to change any of my computer setting or get a tunning after its done, im also looking into getting a c&l mass kit for but i dont know if i should the kit for the 96 or 03. any info or help is good thanks

I had a 03 Gt, it was a beautiful car, but I was disappointed with the power, it did not seem to have the guts of any of my 5.0s, so I traded it for a Mach 1, the rush was back! I would try for a Cobra or Mach 1 engine. I am NOT putting down 4.6 GT cars, I loved mine, it just did not give me that rush.

i also wanted to know if i will still be able to use my 96 mustang clutch on the new engine, the production date on my engine says 6/02 so its a 02 not 03.

You need a bigger clutch then...I forgot what the size was.
