Ok guys, heres the deal. I have a 97 Cobra with a Vorech on it. I bought the car "as sits" about a year and a half ago and the car has never been right. I think the tuning on the car has been messed up (its been re-tuned 3 times). Anyway, I blew the motor up last week and I am looking for a place to build a good motor, put it in, and tune it. I called LiverNois and they gave me a quote of $9000. This would include me taking the car to them, and letting them do everything to it:

New 4.6L 4V "5.0 stroker" shortblock
good rods, pistons
In and out on motor
re-work heads
dyno tune

First, what do you think about the setup. I currently run 9# and would like to step it up a bit now. I eventually would like to run a hellian turbo kit. I want this set-up to be good for whenever i run the turbo.

Also, what do you think about the 5.0 stroker kit? Is it worth it? Would it be a big difference on low end power?

One more, does anyone know of anywhere else who could do the "all-in one" package? I am located in Tennessee and Michigan is quite a hall. Any help will be appreciated!!

With $9,000 I would get a used 03/04 engine and T56. That would turn your 97 into a beast. Here's one for $9,900 obo:

You could make some money back by selling the Vortech, the T-45, and whatever you can save from the old engine. The Teksid block, crank, heads, and intake would fetch some good $$ if they are salvageable.
