'97 Cobra Value?

Ive been looking for a newer Mustang to buy to replace my fox body and came across a 97 Cobra at a local dealer down the road from the dealership I work at. Its a bone stock convertible with a bit over 98,000 miles and a near flawless ext. and very clean interior. The second owners were suuposedly an older couple who traded it in on a new Mercedes so I dont think it was beat on and definately doesnt appear to have been. There asking 10,000 for it and are pretty firm on the price, the blue book value was like $1500 more but what would you think the real value is and what would you pay for it? Thanks for any advice, just trying not to pay too much and I figured this would be the best place to ask.

Im talking to a guy on another board who's selling his 96 coupe w/ the exact same mileage (full exhaust/gears) for $8K.

Being a year newer, a convertible, AND from a dealer....yours seems pretty good.

However, I'd go private seller for these cars if I were you, always cheaper. Good luck.

Any V8 mustang (GT,LX,Mach1,Cobra etc.) w/ a manual tranny thats bone stock and the interior/ext has actually been taken care of is worth looking at man. trust me.
