My Buddy just wrecked his Explorer he told me I could have the motor so my question is how much power can i expect from the heads and intake swap and what cam should i run to get the most from this set up

oh can i use any other parts off this motor to gain HP?

Depending on your cars mileage I would swap out the whole motor and keep one for a spare.

Stock Explorer cam is not that bad. It's just not a cam for hp. It's a torque cam. I'd take the cam if you don't want it. Would be good for a street rod.

FYI - The stock Mustang HO cam with a Weiand Stealth intake and AFR165 heads made 405 hp at the crank in Car Craft magazine. The stock HO cam is less aggressive than the Explorer cam IMO. The HO cam has less lift, less duration and less lobe seperation. The Explorer cam is like 116 lobe sep vs the HO cam's 114.5 (I think). So it has a more broad torque curve. The lift's on the Explorer cam are close to the lifts of the B303 with 1.6 rockers.

trickflow stage 1 cam would work good with that combo ...just take the heads and intake off and install on your engine , me and a friend just did this same thing , car runs ALOT stronger now
