Is there anything I can do to a $4600 short of sinking a grand for heads? I am trying to stay under 1500 for the swap. My 2300 is shot - block, pistons, head.. - and I have a 97 GMQ that runs good, but has a slight problem in the title department. Other than the K-member, what do I need for the swap? I have a welder, could I just buy a 5.0 exhaust and flex pipe? I'm not too much for the power, its what I have on hand, and the 4600 got 30 mpg in a GMQ, thats better than the 2300 in the 'stang.

Any suggestions on shocks/springs? Already needed them so they don't count against the $1500. Will a 5.0 kit suffice? Or do I need stifer springs? I will be keeping the original 15 in wheels and 3.08 open gears for now.

Who makes a dash for aftermarket guages for the 79-86 stangs? Almost forgot, will a Mustang programmer work w/ my GMQ computer?

all help greatly appreceated.
Thanks
