Hey stangnet! time for some more opinions.

Alright I've decided to go with a mac off road H-Pipe and there Catback system.(anyone ever use there catback?)

Since I'm doing my exhaust should I get some shorty headers while I'm at it or just leave the stock manifold seeing as how they don't add much power.

One last question is, how hard is it to install headers on my GT without lifting the engine, dosn't look like a whole lot of room to manuver

Thanks for the help again guys!:SNSign:

Don't bother with shorty headers.

If you do them, go longtubes or bust. They are a pain the the butt to install.

I am running a UPR catless X pipe and a Mac Flowpath catback. I LOVE the way the Mac's sound... classic muscle car sound but they flow REALLY well for a chambered muffler.

Hey BurningRubber, maybe you should stop being a cheap A$$ and you would get quality parts.

I had the Flowmaster cat-back for years because everything else was too expensive.

After 4 years of Flows i bought a Bassani Catback off Craigslist for $150....and sold my Flowmaster set up for $250....switch exhausts and got $100 in my pocket.

after have bassani i realized it WELL worth the price. The sound is amazing the the quality puts Mac's cheap POS stuff to shame

...once again, Bassani>All

Man, I just love your smart ass comments towards people who don't put THE highest quality, most expensive parts on their car.

Some people have **** going on in their lives where they have to make do with what they can.

I'm in college trying to make a future for myself, stay out of trouble, work full time at the same time so I can pay for my bills, save a little, and still take care of my Mustang and Jeep so I will have two reliable vehicles.

My car won't win shows, my car won't ever drive like its on rails, nor will it have the most expensive of anything I can buy for it. So what?

I have no problems with my Mac exhaust. It isnt rusted out, and it sounds like a ****ing demon coming at you. I didn't choose it based upon price only, I wanted to be different but I left myself with enough budget to buy several other systems. I chose the Mac's because I liked how they sound. FWIW they also flow among the highest of chambered mufflers.

You got a good deal on yours, and I wasnt even bashing you. I guess e-sarcasm is hard to catch sometimes...

But what is so special about Bassani that they sell them for almost $700 for just a catback?!? Sure they sound good, but what sounds good is also opinion based. Personally I like the Borla Stingers better, but thats just me.

We can have a pissing contest if you want, but maybe you should stop with the e-hardass approach before it goes any further.

Bassani Catbacks dont Cost $700.....only the Stainless Steel Versions Cost $700

...The BX series (Aluminized) only cost $500....you pay $200 more for stainless steel.

When it comes to Car Parts, You get whats you pay for...and bassani is Quality.

I have never heard anyone say bad stuff about Bassani...but ihave heard BS stuff about Mac (I have never owned mac so i really cant say that its crap)

Gotcha, $500 is still on the high end, but still better than the price for the SS one.

I am not knocking their quality, they have alot of R&D into them and it shows.

My Mac stuff has been just fine so far, and if it falls apart, only then I will knock it.

In certain cases you can buy quality parts without the quality price, you are just paying for a name that no one has much attachment to.

this is never true..... You pay for quality, thats just the fact.

Look at MM Parts...MM Makes the best parts but charges a little bit more....you pay a little more but the pay off is worth it

I guess we will have to see how the Pypes longtubes hold up for everyone. $399 is about as good as it gets aside from Flowtech, but to your defense, there are alot of thumbs down for that brand...

I agree about the payoff being worth it. And when it comes down to parts that really need to withstand a beating, those are the ones I will go for.

Well its not, I just switched a upr catted x for a rare mac catted H pipe that was discontinued. The quality of the part is great. Only problem that I've heard is fitment, and the fitment on mine wasn't perfect but I got everything basically alighned almost perfect. (talking about the catback)

Piping is piping...so when it comes down to a Catback its really 2 things in play....Fitment and Weld Quality.

If you have a ****ty fitting catback that means you have a ****ty catback.

My flowmaster catback fit like ass and hung low....so it was a ****ty catback.

alright guys i started this thread for little information, not an exhaust war and certainly not for you two to take over and harass each other.:nonono:

Sorry man, I gave you the info that I personally have for Mac.

I didn't come in here with the intention of starting anything, but if someone takes a shot at me I'm not going to not say anything in my defense.
