I have a 97 GT auto that is stuck in 2nd gear. My mechanic has confirmed that it is the transmission. He has given me prices to rebuild/replace the auto, but I want to check the cost of swapping to a manual tranny.
He can't find a manual transmission in a salvage yard anywhere around here (Florence, SC).
Do you guys have any suggestions, etc?
I need to do this as cheap as possible. I am going to have to sell my Stang to help buy a truck for my new business. I figure most people would want a manual tranny.
