Okay, if anyone has any info on this it would be greatly appreciated. I have a 97 v6, and when i bought it it had no interior at all except the dash. So i found a donor car in the junk yard and intalled it, including the dash and ecm. well the donor car was and automatic, and mine is a manual. I then bought a manual ecm, put it in, and the car would not stay running more than a few seconds. I found out that the key has a chip in it, and if the key and ecm aren't correct, the car doesn't start. my question is, what all do i need to do to make this ecm work? I know it would have to be flashed, but do i need to replace the gauge cluster as well, or even the dash? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
