I just replaced all 6 fuel injectors and went for the first drive and now i am getting this ticking noise above 1500rpms that was not there before. It runs smoothly otherwise. It only makes this noise when accelerating. Not in neutral or park even when revving. Cel light came on with p016d code. Thinking maybe I got a bad injector?

I can't find the DTC code referenced in my Ford manual. Can you double check?

Where did the new injectors come from? ebay? What did you do with the old injectors? Consider sending them to InjectorRX.com for cleaning and flow testing. Once cleaned and tested they are as good as new but cheaper.

If this were my car likely I would have the original Ford injectors cleaned and tested and put the originals back on.

The noise turned out to be one of the tubes connected to the egr piping came came off and the sound i was hearing was an exhaust leak. Thank you.
