98 cobra ?? I need some advice >

ok this is whats up > I'm maybe in the works for a trade for a 98 mustang cobra > the owner say's it runs but he has a problem with it > he says he was playing with it and over reved it and broke a roller rocker in the motor > he and his fater >( who is a ford mechanic) pulled the top of the motor aprt and replaced the roller > but now the motor has a tick in it > what do you think bent vavle or did they miss something ??? I have not heard the motor yet but am driving down to look and hear the cxar tomorrow morning > the deal thats in the work's is a trade my convertible and $500 cash > anyone post your opinons / thoughts> ideas .

Depends on where that tick is coming from. If it's a metallic sounding tick from down below that increases with rpm, it could likely have a spun bearing which will only get worse in time.

Cobras are nice though, enjoy.

no it's pretty loud and deff coming from the back of the passanger side head > I'm going to try to pull the cover off tomorrow I think i'm going to be pulling the head .
