98 Gt 2v motor blown!! Convert to 4v or forged 2v!!

Help me guys my motor in my 98 gt just locked up and i am looking at the possibility of replacing it with a 4v motor. Is this a hard task to take? What all is involved in it? Does anyone know where i can get some info about this subject.. Or should i just get a new 2v forged short block? I have every bolt on for my 2v known to man and if i go to a 4v then i have to change up alot of stuff....Give me some ideas guys thank..you

Id say go with the 4v..The extra strength of a forged 2v isnt needed for a bolton motor. The main reason for getting a forged motor would be if you are running a power adder like a blower or turbo and are using a fairly high amount of boost. So unless you have plans for one id get the 4v. You can always sell off the old boltons that youve aquired over the years, and purchase new ones.

Money not a problem = 4V DOHC conversion (Even if you've got a donor engine....it's still not going to be cheap.

Money is tight = Late model PI engine.....Exporer engine (aluminum block) would be a nice compromise between the two. :nice: Either or....drops right into place, with no hassel and can be built to run just as well as any N/A 4V. :nice:
