I am needing to buy some new headlights for my 98 GT. I can decide on whether to get the OE style or the crystal clear style. Anybody got any advice or expirence with the crystal clear kind? Also what are they like to install? I had to install a set on my 87 GT and they weren't much fun. Thanks.

Got new headlights for my stang. I went with Brand new OEM Light. I think aftermarket headlight on a SN95 Look Cheesy. OEM headlights make the whole car look brand new IMO.

I had the smoked clear ones in my 96 when I had it. Really set it off I think. What color is your car? The install is easy and the fixtures I bought on ebay turned out really nice and were of really high quality. Can't remember who I bought from but my username on ebay is 9646gt if you want to view my feed back from about a year or so ago and see who I bought from. The oem look nice but on some colors I love the clean look of the smoked lights. What ever you get make sure you put a thin bead of clear silicone around the fixture seems and such and you will never have to worry about water getting in again :)
Just my .2 cents

+1, although i didnt do the recommended heat in an oven on wet cardboard then press together and seal method - so i got some moisture in the driver's side center lamp ( after about a year) which is lame.

9686...Mine is black with burnt orange flames. I have thought about smoked lights but I really like clear as well. Either way I am wanting total clear without any amber. I just want to use amber bulbs. Thanks for the info!

also there are some corner bulbs that i picked up that have a silver coating on them when they are off and light up amber when on.....IMO i think it just looks pretty trick.
