Hey guys,
1998 Mustang GT
I got hot air. Compressor doesnt engage. When I jumper the cycle switch and the compressor comes on. So I tried putting in refrigerant with the connection jumpered so the the compressor would stay on the dial would just kept going to zero and air would never get cold. I tried changing the cycle switch before but when I did the refrigerant just leaked out at the switch (maybe they gave me the wrong switch?).

Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance

I don't think its a good idea to add refridgerant with the connection jumped. Did you try doing it the normal way?
I did and but I thought the compressor had to be on to fill correctly. When I did it with the compressor off the gauge just goes to full and stays there. Yet the ac still no cold air at all.
Thanks for the reply!
