I hooked a FRPP tach driver to get a tach signal for my BMN Nitro tech window swtich. BMN said that they think it is FRPP tach driver not giving proper signal.

i hooked a meter to the tach signal comming from the tach driver. it started at 0.4 volts and went ot 1.2 volts as i revved the vehicle. BMN said that still doesn't mean the tach driver is hoooked up or working properly. I get an autometer tach. I hook the positive and negative, and then hook the tach signal wire to the tach wire from the FRPP driver. I could not get a smooth tach reading?? Errratic and not accurate?

I wonder.....the BMN and the Tach said to hook up to the negative side of the coil(which we don't have) or tach signal. Does it sound like the FRPP tach driver is not working or my brain is not working? :bang:

The BMN window switch or controller is not designed for the COP 99+ cars, thus the reason why you needed the FRPP tach adapter. It sounds to me your tach adapter is hooked up incorrectly, or is faulty.

Should have purchased it from the company that developed a mustang-specific COP tach adapter with full color, step by step install instructions..

On a serious note, either you got a bad unit, or the unit is hooked up wrong.
