Well there is no point in buying a cobra if he has the car already. If he could get the motor for cheap go for it. Plus just gettin the cobra insurance goes up. I would have just went out and got a cobra but no way am i going to pay the insurance on that thing. They act like that car has 700 hp stock. What bull crap.

Yea insurance is the main reason. Although i saw an 03 cobra in the paper a few weeks back used for 21,000. I couldn't believe my eyes but i would have to sell my car first and it probably has the head tick that ford wouldn't fix cause they put a chip on it and upped the boost.

I run 03 heads on my 96 along with a 99 intake manifold. I bought all that stuff from Karkraft and it all works perfectly. I was a little worried about the cylinder heads having any defects but besides being dirty they were fine.
The 03 cylinder heads are pretty close in design to the fr500s but with the exhaust port being even larger.
