Ok, I want cams. I have been waiting them for sometime now. I have looked at comp cam, VT, SHM. Where is a street legal DOT one? I need to pass emissions and I dont want to get pulled over by cops. The emission testing is now done by the snapon programmer diagnostic thing now. All the 99+ cars or computerized 96+ whatever. Who has cams and what do I need? Obviously Im paying someone to install them. How much is installation? How long? I have a blower and I have a chip. Ive read each cam for the stage and I have exhaust and so on. So I want a good cam. I want a nice lope so people know I have something really nice and its just not a basic exhaust. How much do people gain from installing cams if you have a blower? I dont know what the different lifts mean and E some people were talking about those are legal. IDK help please

well anytime you put cams on a car you will raise your emission levels and seeing how you have are SC you will need to get a set of blower cams not sure what stg you want if if you really want a noticable idle the stg 2 cams are your best bet but will raise emissions quite a bit the stg 1's are some what noticable and with a real good tune you should be alright

Whats stg? They dont do smog check emissions anymore its all done with the handheld plug into port thing, but I just want street legal and emissions passed lol. Whats really difference between stage 1 and stage 2? Do cams break the car since its such a agressive lope or wear the engine down?

Tim at Modular Powerhouse should be able to hook you up with a set of cams for your specific car and a badass tune.

if its with a hand held scanner all they really check is that you dont have any codes and you will pass but that is from what i've heard
