99 Cobra questions

Hey guys, I was looking at a 99 cobra in autotrader today... it only has about 35K miles and they're selling it for $17000, which seems like a pretty good deal to me. But the only thing is that I've heard some bad things about the 99s, something about the exhaust ports being different sizes or something? I don't know anything about the 4V motor, but I am interested in getting one at some point, and this car just looks so sweet. Are there a lot of recalls for the 99s that I would have to contend with? The only issues with the 99's were the cars were underpowered and recalled by ford to reflash the computer deburr the intake and tweak the exhaust to meet the 320 horsepower rating. the heads are fine and not anything to worry about. ford and svt were embarassed having to recall the 99's so they didnt do a 2000 cobra other than an R so that the 01's would be right and delivered with all the advertised power

The 99 were all recalled if you go under the hood of the vehicle there will be a sticker next to the prob up stick that tells you the car was fixed and meets the standard 320 horse. Ive read many articles before getting mine and I believe they have all been fixed, like others said there were no 2000 made so they could afford to fix the 99's. Go for it
