ok so i swapped the brakes on my 2002 to the mach/cobra kit. and since the stock dual piston caliper is an upgrade for the 94-98 single piston calipers i figured i would clean up the caliper, get new pads and put em on my 95. my question is theres little metal clips that were on the 2002 PBR caliper brackets where the pads are held inplace. are they needed? are they something that only comes with some pads? my new EBC green stuff pads did not have them but i put em there anyways. heres pics to show the piece im talkingabout

yes you need the clips. you reuse them when you replace pads. make sure you clean them whenever you swpa pads or else you will have noise.
