all i can find are information on 94-95 V6 T5s...

But to my knowledge nothing changed on the 3.8 V^6 from 94-95 to 99-03. Its the same motor (motor to trans wise).

Perhaps making a post on one of the v6 boards? Im sure those guys have researched replacing their own transmissions...

it will bolt to the bell housing but the input shaft/TOB retainer will maybe be different lengths and the gear ratios will probably be different. As far as the gear ratios no big deal sure it wont make much of a difference for a DD especially if your selling and the input shaft well if you have your old trans its a stupid simply swap if you have to.

For gear ratios, it's the same 300 ft-lb gear set as the 94-95 v8.

They are electric speedo but I think the cable speedo will work

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

SN-95s are electric speedo also. So that's not an issue.

I'm pretty sure it will work. I just got a 94 GT that has a serious speedo problem where it maxxes itself out when I'm traveling in 5th gear at 2k rpm.

I went to check the speed sensor and decided to de-code the tag on the transmission. Its a T5 from a 99 3.8

I don't know enough to tell you which bell housing I am using, or if the input shaft was changed/adapted, but I can tell you that it is in there and it works. The previous owner was not the smartest peanut in the turd, evident by seeing other shoddy work all over the car, so if it was difficult to do, then I don't think he would have succeeded.

Not to hi-jack your thread here, but if anyone has any ideas on how to fix the speedo problem, I'm all ears. It would probably benefit you too if you end up doing this swap.
