My first post! Just got a 02 vert with 60k. Car feels super strong but have no idea what was done to it. I got a speed cal (gears but no idea what kind); x pipe with cats (no idea what type); steeda shifter; def lowered (not sure how much or brand) . Couple questions for you all. Any idea how I could find out what kind of gears are in the back? What kinda springs? AHH and my only critical question is that occasionally I feel a "bump" in the chassis (under my ass) when puttting into gear, could this be a tranny/motor mount? Thanks everyone, I've already learned a crap ton of info from reading your posts.:flag:

The tag on the rear will only tell you the gear that came from the factory. If they are changed...this won't help you. The bump could be a bad trans mount. Those little ones which are on the 01+ cars always go bad. Bad design.

Not sure about this, but I think you can put the rear end up on jacks, turn the driveshaft and see how many revolutions the wheels turn, that should give you the axle ratio right?

You could use one of those online calculators that calcs tire size, speed and rpm, but I guess you wouldn't know if the speedo gear has been changed.
