i'm running a 5.0 with a late model serpintine belt setup and no accesories except the alternator and waterpump. the trouble is that i've had to keep the a/c compressor and the 40 lbs worth of casted bracket only cause i can't find a suitable idler pulley and bracket for the top right side of the engine.

i know that switching the acccessories and plate on the front, but i'm really trying to save money wherever possible.

is anyone else here running a similar setup? is there a vedor or junkyard solution that you would reccomend that would help me ditch this heavy/ugly setup? thanks for your help...

Check post #20 in this thread. I've got a similar setup and it works fine (the one in the picture sure is pretty though!).

Ford Racing makes an idler pulley and bracket to replace the A/C compressor.

Tensioner used must be from an 86-93 Mustang.

I extracted this info from the thread previously linked to plus about 30 seconds of research on summit's website. I think I'm going to order this bracket for myself. I've been thinking about doing something like this for a while. I could provably make this bracket myself but $40 is worth less to me by far then the time I would take to make it.

So for this particular setup, all we would need is a pulley?
