A/C and smog delete again and again and..

I guess this is kind of a no brainer or something but everyone always buys replacement pullies and brackets for their ac and smog delete. Is there any reason why you cant just take the shat off and run a new short serpentine? I know you have to plug your head and your exhaust for the smog removal but the ac is just bleed and then start pulling all the garbage right. I guess i just dont see spending $90+ for the above mentioned opposed to the price of a new belt. Am I not seeing the full picture?

Your totally correct. Just bleed the AC then pull all that **** out. Thats what I did to my car. But I know a 79" belt isnt going to fit on it! I cant remember right, but I think mine was around 80" - 81".
