The A/C Check Valve adapter thing on the passenger side of the engine finally broke both fittings off where vac lines go. Since I'm installing the A/C back on the car, I need to replace this fitting(in pic), where is the best place to buy one of these? Also, the gromet going around the lines coming from the inside the car has a rip in it. No idea how it got ripped or what but it's ripped around the bottom line and when you have the air turned on inside the car air will come through the rip. Should that happen? Thanks!

Fitting that broke:

Dave, you should be able to get the check valve from the dealership, LRS or even the Help section of the parts store. If doing the latter-most, put a Vernier caliper on your old one to get the bung OD's and compare them to the new one (just to be sure you're getting something that fits just right).

The last one I bought was for a GM (same idea) and it was several bucks from the dealer. I'd try that first.

Good luck bud.

I forgot to check this thread, was actually coming to bump it up to the top. Thanks guys, I'll check at the dealer since it's usually better quality stuff.

Since that is a check valve, what would happen if positive pressure got in there? Since my car is turbocharged I don't want to find out but I figured they put the check valve on it for a reason.

The HVAC configurations are vacuum-controlled. The check-valve allows you to hold the existing position even if there is no vacuum (like at WOT). Otherwise, every time you hit WOT, the air would just go through the default vent setting (the windshield/defrost vents).
