Hey guys, sometimes my A/C is cold and then it just randomly gets warm or hot. I was wondering if a shot of freon would do it or if it was something more major such as the compressor.

See what the pressure is like at the low side. Both when working good and when not. Mine cycled on and off constantly when it was low.... I think it does this to help keep from destroying itself. Not good for it to run while the charge is low, either.

Hey, Yeah I love the shift kit. Makes every shift very crisp and quick. You'll be happy just as I am.

If the system is fully charged try replacing the pressure switch on the accumulater. The part is under twenty dollars from Ford.

Yeah, get a pressure gauge from autozone and see how much pressure you have with the compressor running on the low side. Low side is the fitting at the d-side line that runs next to the upper intake. You will need to loosen your STB for access.

And if you are low on charge, you need to find the leak and fix it. Get some r-134a that has the UV leak detector added already, and use a blacklight to find the leak. If you can't find it the first day, wait a couple and try it again. The leak may be slow and needs to reveal itself.

Once you find the leak, just repair it with silver solder.
