Cool. man you guys are life savers. I believe my amp wire is 4 gauge and I have plenty of that left. As far as wiring, from the diagram that's posted it seems my main wires hook right up. just got to change the one white wire and upgrade red wire and ground right?

You will need a 4 gauge powerfeed and a 4 gauge engine to body ground wire.

Can I run the 4g ground from the alternator casing to the chassis on the right side? I'm routing the power feed along the fuel rails to the firewall and around to the starter ssolenoid on the drivers side. but leaving enough slack for future wire tuck.

I hate to thread jack but jrichker I'm doing the 3g swap what the maximum length of wire I can go before I run into problems I'm trying to run it from the back of the alternator into the fender around the bumper to the starter solenoid

ok guys. Thanks to you guys I got my 3g alternator in and wired up. It was a breeze with the direction you guys gave. Can't thank you enough. What ya think?

I ran 6 foot. From alternator followed fuel lines to firewall around to starter solenoid

K thanks man looks like I will need 2 gauge wire for 12 feet
