Cold Air Kit - $120- Will never feel anything from that
Cat-back - $220- have to do the rest of the exhaust at the same time to feel much
Headers - $320- As said above
Side gapped spark plugs -Free- Wont feel anything
Advanced timing -Free- Should have felt more yank when doing that.
Aluminum Driveshaft - $220- Wont feel anything
65mm Throttle Body - $250- Wont really feel anything
75 shot in 2nd gear - $500- 75 shot is not alot but figure you should feel something from that in some way, especially the TQ

I would have to say my home made cai was a slight but noticeable gain.

Now at night when the temps dropped is when I could really tell a difference with the cai.

Okay okay so I exaggerated the 75 shot for effect. I did forget to mention that the 75 shot was on a cold bottle (no warmer, 600psi) while the 100 shot was on the bottle warmer (900psi).

All said and done though, my butt dyno does suck. Sure I could feel some stuff but it wasn't like "Whoa!! This x-pipe is awesome! I could really feel the power from 3,470-4,625 RPM!" Naw it was like "Yeah it feels a little stronger, but that just might be the $450 receipt talking."

Hey I'm glad I am on the only one that can't feel the little things.

I put on my cold air intake and noticed a big gain, but alot of that was from the fact that my car had been running rich (no cats threw off tune) and cold air intakes will sometimes lean you out.

Normally though CAI will be worth a minimal gain on a bolt on car.

Try at least 3.73's before the aluminum driveshaft, & you'll be able to feel it. Mine cured a top-end shake that scared the hell out of me the first time I took the car to the track with the new gears. I won't consider gears now without a driveshaft factored into the cost.

You have to consider a lot of those mods make most of the extra power at the very top of the RPM range not across the entire RPM range. So unless you are taking your car all the way into the peak HP to see those extra 5 or 10 ponies your right you will never "feel" them. I felt a noticable gain with nearly all of my HP bolt ons. But that's because everytime I do something new I take to the street by my house and ring its neck a few times. I take it all the way to the top of first and second and normally only feel the difference right before it shifts. I know with my CAI intake and pullies this was the case. While the ported manifold and MAF (did them at the same time) made a more dramatic impact across the entire RPM range.

I definitely felt both a silencer removal+K&N filter and ASP underdrives.

you'll feel a new upper/lower intake, guaranteed. then maybe the t/b will have a reason tl flow more.

Thats the thing, mods on there own will often not feel as though they did much, but pair them up with other supporting mods and the whole thing comes together. Such as just putting on a catback will seem ok but if you do the mid pipe and headers at the sametime then the whole thing works together and you feel alot more of a power increase.
