a few q's

hi, im not normally in this forum but a guy i know is restoring a 65 mustang and i have a few questions about a couple things in the engine compartment that im not familiar with if u guys could tell me what they are and what they hook to it would be tremendous and also how does a points style distributor hook up, if its a fox i can do just about anyhting but ive never worked on an older stang before.

Pic 2: windshield washer motor
IIRC, you jut hook a wire coming off the dizzy to the dist side of the coil, but it's been over a year since I yanked the motor out of my #2 '66, so don't quote me. Points dizzys are really simple though.

ok, thanks for the info, wanted to be sure what the stuff was before i started hookin up wires.

The distributor wire goes to the - negative side of the coil. The + side of the coil is connected to the hot wire for it from the engine wiring harness. Usually only three wires in that harness, one is the coil hot wire, the others go to the temp sensor and oil pressure sensor.
