I just recieved my Steeda Tri-Ax in the mail (my first mod :D) and I've got a few questions:

In the instructions it mentions silicone gasket maker... what's this and where can I get it?

I've heard a shifter install can be a pain if you can't get the stock shifter off. Can anyone give me some advice so I don't run into this problem? And...

I have a Hurst t-handle that I'm gonna stick on and I wanted to get the rubber boot to replace the leather one (t-handle with a leather boot would look weird).. where can I get one of these?Preferably not online.. like do they sell these at speed shops, etc? And will it fit if I stick a rubber boot on there?

Thanks in advance :nice:

Any auto parts store will have some sort of silicone gasket sealer. Permatex is a common brand that has different types for different applications. Read the package to see what the recommended use is. Pretty much any of the types would work for this application. It is a relatively low heat application...compared to cylinder heads or something like that. The purpose is just to seal out any water or contaminents. Enjoy the Tri-Ax

Alright, thanks.

One more thing that just came up..

My Hurst handle came with adapters to make the handle fit various sizes of stick diameters, but none of the threads fit the thread gap with the Tri-ax stick. What gives? Is the tri-ax stick threaded differently and if so, what can I do to make my handle fit?
