he guys i was driving yesterday and i noticed that my shifter was getting a little warm and were the ash tray goes really warm air was coming up it then ill drive a little further and the thing is getting really hot i didnt drive more then 9 mile's it's not the tranny lube i just replaced it with durcon III and and tranny and motor was rebuil 20,000 miles ago.
 
It could have something to do with exhaust does your car still have cats on it?.. If they stop up you'll get alot of heat, normally a loss of power as well.. after driving it for a while give a look under the car most times they will glow red..
