Hey whats up guys. Let me first start off by saying I am new here. This is my first day registered here and stangnet.com and look forward in some great times. Names Elliott. Well I have a 2005 mustang Gt, black on red leather seats. Shaker1000,IUP,wing delete,17'' bullitt wheels. I love the car and all. But it just seems to be missing alot of horsepower, or that pull which you feel in previous mustangs. I owned a 98 gt, 00 gt, 03 gt, 93 cobra 347 stroker 339 rwhp, 03 mach1 azure blue, and present my 05 gt. These cars drive different. I am thinking about selling it and buying another 03-04 mach1. Should I not be thinking this way. Should I kpee the 05, and mod it up. My brother and I go at it all the time, he has an 04 mach1 torch red, with full high flow cats, bassani x-pipe, alum driveshaft, panhard bar, and c&l cold air intake. As soon as I hit 2nd gear, he is pulling away from me and gets to be at least 2 car lengths ahead. I do know our cars weight more, but come on I should be keeping up. I should add I am a very good driver. Took classes. In my previous stangs, when I would hit 2nd gear when power shifting or speed shifting they would be all over the place, fishtailing and all. My 05 when trying any of the two, doesnt do anything, kinda feels like its losing power. Whats the deal.. Could it be Im driving the car wrong.? I need some input or advise to guide me back to the right path. Help please.

I would look into a CAI kit and a handheld tuner first. A good tune will really wake the car up. Eliminate the lag on take-off, increase the HP / TQ numbers to a reasonable level, make the car feel like it looks. You can do this for a reasonable cash outlay.

What tuner is the best and what exactly does it do to standard trans stangs?
