anyone know of a nice, lighter gold body paint I could use with some black accents (maybe hood) for my '67 Eleanor-ish clone? I saw some nice '72 colors, but was hoping for a newer car so I could see what it looks like.

Are you wanting Ford-only? If not, what about some of the imports? Accords and Camrys have a pretty nice gold color--and you can see plenty of them running around.

I like the sun lit gold that my 68 is stock with. It looked real good when I first got it painted 10 yrs ago, but now it is really dull. It was a cheap enamel job...

Thanks folks. I'm good with any make car paint. So far the 99-00 Mustang is closest to what I had in mind. Maybe a little more yellow in it though. Any other thoughts?

Here's the one I really wanted to show you. A former co-worker of mine has a car exactly like this one. I just now figured out how to resize it so that stangnet would let me post it.

It is a nice color, though I'm probably looking to do more of an "over the top"/obnoxious color if I don't do black. Maybe "orangish" like the little car pic I attached. I just wish I could see what a color looks like that on a grown up car.
