Guys, just had my engine rebuilt after a piston and ring melt down. However, I'm still having problems with the fuel system and it's been traced back to the A1000 pump. I have 3 of these and they have all failed. I originally had some welded material peeling off the sump and getting into the pumps. The catch was that it was getting through the 10 micron filter. After changing to a fuel cell, I'm still having troubles.

The pump runs fine for a few minutes. After it heats up, the pump sound changes and the pump starts fluctuating with fuel pressure. The car is changed to a return system and it's running at 60lbs. I was told by Aeromotive that this pump runs fine on the street but my belief is that it heats up and starts crapping out. My car is dynoing at last 500hp right now at 5000rpm's but fuel delivery is so erratic when the pump starts heating up, we have stopped tuning.

I tried to call Aeromotive but all their techs are at the NHRA this weekend and at SEMA next week so they aren't returning calls. That means at least 2 weeks to get anything out of them. Of course it would be easier to call them if they would put their stupid phone number on their web-site. It makes me nervous when company doesn't post their phone number.

I'm getting tired of sending pumps in and now my car is down at least 2 more weeks because of this product. Has anyone else had any luck keeping this pump running for more than an hour or 2 and then having them fail in a few weeks from overheating?
