Hi everyone,

I was given a 90 mustang with a 2.3l / a4ld trans. Previous owner had trans problems and they paid someone to install a junk yard trans into the vehicle... It was the different connector for the valve body.. 2 / 3 wire deal..

Any trans guys out there know if the actual trans case and internals are the same between the 2? Can the 2 valve bodies be interchanged into either case? Or are the trans case different between the 2 / 3 wire valve bodies?

Hope that made sense.. lol.. 1 am here.. (very tired)

Thanks in advance for any info..

I would assume the valve bodies arn't interchangable. On the newer transmission, the 3-4 upshift was controlled by the computer instead of by pressure. Seems to be the internals would be slightly different for that part anyway.
