so we overhauled my engine and got it running really well, then installed the damn torque converter the wrong way, lol. upon removal we destroyed it and pulled out the input shaft from the transmission by accident with it. we were able to save the input shaft.
just put the reman. TC in and hooked it all up the right way but it still wont shift into gears. we can hear that the engine recognizes that its supposed to be in gear by it revving slightly higher than idle, but the gears themselves wont engage.
we spoke to some transmission shops about it and they both say the same thing... i broke my pump rotor in the tranny.
what im asking is does anyone know what i have to look for to buy exactly to ensure i get the right part so i can get my baby back on the road again? what its called, nomenclature, is its actually called the pump rotor, and any links to ebay would be tremendous help!
