Morning everyone.
Sorry for beating a dead horse but I feel more comfortable with advice. I am setting up to convert my 87 auto to mass air. I have the A9P computer, meter and after market harness(just the plug and jcord).I have the color code print and wiring diagram for the install.Im using the existing 87 main EEC harness installed from factory.
I have read on other forums that the o2 harness needs to be rewired as well, ALONG WITH FUEL PUMP MONITOR SIGNAL AND VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR SIGNALS?I have the diagram and seems rather simple but is it necessary?
I am not looking to make an animal out of the car, just some simple bolt-ons and maybe upper and lower intake with 3"exhaust and long tube headers.

thanks
Keith

you don't need to rewire the o2 harness. the fp monitor and VSS arent ABSOLUTELY necessary, but can possibly generate problems on down the road, so do them anyway. if you're going to do it, might as well do it right.

these are the instructions i used when i redid mine and it's working flawlessly.

oh and if you just plan on running an intake with some simple bolt on's, a 3" exhaust would be overkill for sure. you'll lose power on the low end. 3" is what forced induct cars would run. 2.5" would be plenty for your goals.
