Sorry guys, I am going to have to disagree. I appreciate all the work the owner put into the car, but the body kit looks cheap and plastic-y. I love the rest of the car (and hood) but the new additions look poor, sorry. They remind me of a Civic with an unpainted body kit that doens't fit well and doesn't flow with the body lines of the car.

I'm just saying the side skirts look like a different color in nearly every picture. I'm not degrading your painter, but in those pics, its plain as day. No offense to you or your car.

that kit looks really nice. I'm impressed. I must say. Good purchase dude. I would like even more pics to be honest, of the kit and where it mounts with more angles.

looks awesome, man. i myself have ABC's stuff on my car and the only complaint i have is that the rear bumper has a small warp--had they agreed to return it, i would be 100% happy. they were kinda iffy since it had been past 30 days, which is understandable even thought i hadn't installed it yet (sitting in my garage), so i can't really blame them more than i can blame myself.

their stuff can take a beating! i ran over a pretty high curb while i was out of town at a mustang show and tore my rear bumper and side skirt, but it's repairable (half-way done with it, just gotta repaint it).

It gets more of a Bluish hue in Florescent lighting.

How rare is Opal anyways? My roommate has a '96 248A(basically a 4.6 GTS) Opal that is super clean. I'm trying to convince him to put it back to stock for shows.

Opal Frost" is a very rare color for Mustangs, offered only during the 94-96 model years on SN-95 Mustangs. "Opal Frost" SN-95 Mustangs can be identified by color code "WJ".

Like I stated in my first post the quality of the parts was excellent, I would recomend them again. The side skirts were the only thing I was disapointed in not cause of bad quality,but as they just dont line up with the door fillers like they should. That is why I am swapping them for the real saleen skirts. I will leave you with one more shot then I will repost when the new skirts are on. Thanks again for all the compliments.

Man I love that look. I'll be changing my body kit soon too. I already have the same hood as you, a cervini's stalker front bumper cover, and I will be running the same side skirts and rear bumper as you. I can't wait to get it all together. Its going to be a while, I need a car that runs first!

I meant to say how are you supposed to make it look pefect with the diffrent materials IE urethane, fibgreglass vs the rest of the car.

Yea good question....i've never heard of that before. Maybe he was just trying to show us the division of color between the metal body of the body vs. the urethene body kit. I see the difference in color in the skirts but i wonder if thats just from the weird angles the skirt has and how the light reflects off it. In some of those pictures u can see "dark" colors...but then again u see those same dark colors up in the doors and other parts of the car.

Although I haven't seen the car in person .... I think Nate has hit the nail on the head. That's exactly what I was thinking ..... because my car does that, too .... and it has never been repainted, lol.

Allan, was the car you had ever repainted ..... or was it a '97-'98? Just asking .... and NOT accusing you of this .... but many '97-'98 owners say (think) they have Opal for some reason, but they don't.

The car looks perfect as sits. Since you already said you weren't going to drop it .... that only leaves one thing. Get her some eyebrows. PM Tom (69clark) if you want some .... I think he sells them. I think it'd be a great addition.

I think whoever is saying the color is wrong is probably mistaken. If you look at it right, it's just that the angle of the sideskirts at the edge breaks up the specular highlight from the opal. I would be willing to bet that under florescents they would pretty much match.

I like the whole look of the car, definitely something I would stare at if I saw you drive by

The only thing that kills me are those stick-on door trim things at the bottom of the door. My brain instantly wants the doors to line up with the sideskirts down there. Does it look wack if you were to remove those things?

Thats why he said he's getting the real saleen skirts as the door filler and the skirts are supposed to line up....but they dont. Thus their soon to be removal from his car.

Looks perfect to me, except as others said, the lines with the side skirts... other than that, it looks real sweet!

As for the color difference in media used, isn't that what the primer is for... to have a base coat over the material used so all of the colors match. I believe it was just the angels of the pieces that cause a difference in the lighting/shadowing effects seen.

Besides, aren't all mustangs' (sn95 at least) fenders and doors metal with fiberglass bumpers and hoods... and the stock colors look good to me.

Maybe I missed part of the controversy, but I think everybody from the body shop to the painter did an excellent job!!!
