ABS Gremlin?

Ok, my ABS light and Track off light came on at the same time several days ago after I washed my car. I took the car into the dealer but the light went out before I got it into the shop. There were no error codes in the computer and everything checked out. So the other day I get into my car and the darn ABS light and Track off light are back on again

Anyone ever have or seen this problem before? Seems like its some weird intermittent failure in the ABS system.

Isn't the ABS computer separate from the OBD-II computer?

I went through something like this on my Explorer. The ABS/TC error codes are stored separately. Also, they are reset each time you turn the vehicle 'off'.

Just to make it even worse, the error might not reoccur again until the ABS/TC system is actually activated.

A "good" mechanic at the dealership should be well aware of this, and will take the vehicle out to some sandy-gravel road and "make" the ABS/TC activate.
