So the ABS system was designed around a properly designed braking system i.e. the front to rear brake bias being correct. I can tell you from experience as I have a functioning ABS system in my 93 that it works as advertised with a gutted stock combination valve with a manual proportioning valve installed. I set the bias by making sure the rear brakes locked up just before the fronts without the ABS.

The ABS is designed to keep the wheels from locking up as a sliding tire on pavement will not stop as fast as one that is not sliding. Basic physics with some friction playing its part.

Can you install the 1995 combination valve in the Fox car? Yes. Will it work? Yes. What I do not know is what kind of results you will get. My Coupe is about 500 pounds lighter than a 1994 / 1995 GT so I figured the combination valve out of a 1994/1995 car would be a waste of time vs gutting mine and putting a manual valve in.

That's what I need to find out. If I do the prop valve, M/C & the pump from a Cobra (though I'm not sure there's any difference in the pump but there might be in the software). All of the fluid flow will match with the calipers I have on the car & the IRS is certainly heavier than the live axle. And the hatch is heavier than the notch. I'm wondering if it'll just work like stock and I don't have to mess with it.

What I think you're missing is the difference in the weight and required bias for each car. Yours, and the one the system came out of.

Secured a pump online. It seems like the hard part is going to be the car side wiring. Ran by the junk yard. 4 SN95s. Not one had ABS. The other two junk yards in the area have a few, but they're a lot farther from the house.

Where did you put the charcoal can? Inside the fender like the SN95s is what tracks for me. Mine is currently exactly where the abs pump would go.

Well seven days later isn’t bad…my apologies as work and life stuff got in the way. This is as good as I can do as it would take removing the inner wheel well to get a better shot.

So this is looking up while under the front of my car from the passenger side. I remember having to massage the stock bracket a little bit it was an easy fit.
