Hi, my 2001 gt has the ABS light on, I noticed a little rear end (axle) oil on the inside of my rear left wheel.

will the oil cause the wheel abs sensor to turn on the ABS light?

It could. I would take the wheel off and clean it up and see what happens. It's not really the oil that would do it, but a whole bunch of dirt sticks to that oil, which may cause the problem.
