Roush ABS on a 96 S281

Hi guys,

I have #96-005.the spec of which is in my sig...

I have all the ABS circuitry and controlers put the ABS doesnt work for squit. I noticed that the light doesnt come on the dash so I'd guess its buggered and someone has had the bulb out.

Or......

is the ABS disabled or something if you have the 13" Alcon brakes ???

daft idea but who knows for sure ?

Your car came with ABS. My car came from Saleen with the Alcons and Saleen does not defeat the system. I can't see any reason why anyone would disarm it when installing the brakes. Are you sure they are non operative? It's hard to tell if the ABS is working with properly installed Alcons unless you really mash on them from high speed on un even pavement. You should be able to verify the bulb is working when you turn on your key, but before you crank the motor. I think you have a hand held, right? It will tell you if you have an error code with the ABS.

the bulb was smashed in the dash, i guess to get it passed inspection,

im gonna go test them in an empty car park later, and see how they do...

should that light go out (abs light) when the cars running or before you crank, like all the others do ? ie airbad etc ???

ps, i havent got a scanner no, ot yet anyways
