Ok, I am fairly new to ABS crap, so bear with me, my other hobby cars are too old to have ABS. My ABS light is on steady, checked fuses, they are OK. I tried the battery reset and it instantly stayed on when started up. This tells me it is not a tone ring or caked up sensor since it didn't move and stayed on right at start up. (correct?) OK, so I have the procedure for checking the individual sensors for the correct resistance, if I find them to be within spec, where do I turn to next? I have a fairly new OBD2 reader that is Sear's rebranded Innova code reader, but I may need another module to read ABS codes if it will read them at all. I just got the car and have not got a service manual yet (I buy them for every car I own). So where is the ABS module itself located? And does anyone have the pin out to check what it should have? I fiddled around to do this last and lost sight that if my daughter wants to drive it to take her driving test next week the ABS light needs to be off. Frankly I couldn't care less if the ABS works or not, but the light will cause her to fail, and I guess ABS is a safety feature so I will fix it. I am an accomplished wrench and have extensive knowledge of electronics, but just wanted some guidance from guys who have been there done that. Thanks a bunch! Jeff

The post does not state the model year of your car.

Your assumption about the tone rings is wrong. Have you performed a visual inspection of the tone rings? Sometime metal filings will cause an issue with the pick-up. Also, a better test is to confirm that the sensor still has a magnetic charge.

I can help you get a full service manual with wiring diagrams. PM if interested.
