What is the norm for the ac compressor to cycle on/off? Mine seems to kick in for roughly 1-15 seconds, then off, then on again. I just got it back from the shop, new everything. Mechanic claims it is properly charged, but, it just doesn't get as cold as I think it should be. I haven't measured the temp at the vents, but I can definitely say that it isn't "cold"..... cool yes...."cold" no. Now at night time, it gets ice cold! Oh.... also, the temps down here in Coastal Georgia have been averaging triple digits, sometimes, high 90's.

Shouldn't cycle that quickly. Mine cools in hot weather and my car is black. Takes longer to get it comfortable but it does cool. I'm in South Louisiana.

Mine runs for two or three minutes depending on the temp inside the car.

damn..... so I'm thinking mine is still not working properly. This mechanic I took her to is a freaking joke. I don't know whether I shuld take it back and make him fix it or just bite the bullet and take it to another shop and pay their bill also! FML
