i got a hole in my discharge line
my question is how do i seperate the line from the other line before it goes into the evaporator little radiator thing. the discharge line is help together by a little spring inside of the other line and i cant figure out how to seperate the 2 and its pissing me off big time

Sounds like you're talking about the "quick disconnect" (should be a sin that they call it that. LOL). You need a set of line release tools... your local auto store should have them. Here's a couple pics of what two available version look like:

just got back from the autozone paid 7 bucks
and it took me all but 2 minutes to swap the line after i had that tool
