Had this project on the white board for a wihle now but just now finally got around to doing it. Found a reasonably sized ac/dc inverter at 175W (300W peak) and mounted it in my console. Meant to take pics of it during install but I just plain forgot. Really easy installation, just opened up the unit, removed the switch and plug, spliced in longer wires and mounted the switch and plug in the console itself. For power I just tapped into the 12V plug that's there with some quick splice connectors.

Or my hair is wet! I wish I had a hair dryer.

How 'bout a mini fridge?

YOu could charge your own battery! Oh wait, that won't work!

Actually I needed a place to plug in the flux capacitor .

You could use it for anything really, aside from large power tools, cell phone charger, laptop power, mainly small electronics stuff that I'd have with me for long trips.
