AC Problem.....

When I turn the AC on in a 95GT, should the front of the compressor spin?

When I turn it on, it will spin for 2 seconds and then it will stop, and start spinning again a few seconds later...on and off.

The pulley is always spinning but the front parto f the compressor is whats turning on and off

Its supposed to do that....The computer cycles it on and off to keep the temp consistant. When you put it on "Max AC" it should spin continuosly.

I had it on Max A/C and it was still doing that off and on.....the air is not getting cold either....Im about to charge the system, but I want to be sure the compressor isnt shot first.

Ok I just got a different recharge kit and when that thing is not spinning, the pressure will build up to 60(red on gauge) then it will start spinning until it drops down to 25 (green) and this is continuous. The air is semi cool, but nothing like it should be.
