Hey guys and girls-

Ive been here for a while but didnt want to get in on discussions until I got the car i wanted.

Anyway, I got an 02 gt private party and I have been noticing something. When i get on the throttle, my AC becomes warm and there is a smell of buring rubber?? associated with it.

Is this normal? Should my AC be blowing warm air at WOT? What is that smell?? HELP!!!

dont know bout the smell but it shouldnt get warm at all at WOT

The A/C shuts off at WOT... pretty sure this is normal. Not sure about the smell though.

i didnt know the AC shuts off at WOT....hmm.. it smeels like rubber its really odd.

If the a/c cools at normal speeds & the problem happens on acceleration....the burning rubber smell is prob the belt slipping on the a/c comp. pulley.

Check / adjust the tension.
