ac refrigerant lines

so im changing out my heater core and all i got left is one refrigerant line to remove.. i have the tools that clamp over and pull but i cannot get it to click.. i can get it to work a different line but not the one.. its stuck!! i cant figure out if there is another other way to remove or a trick.. its the last step!! its the line that runs next to the heater core hoses.. thanks

Spray some WD40 in there. There is a spring that gets pushed back when you insert the tool. There is probably corrosion from being old that needs to get broke up. Spray it, let it sit a minute, try to get the tool to click. It works everytime.

There isnt a need to remove the AC to change it unless its already discharged. I would just remove it at the firewall and be done with it.
