Accufab Plenum/TB 75 or 70mm?

WoW lots of inputs, thanks a lot guys, yall being very freaking helpful.

Im not getting the CAI and Im still fokin debating between the 70mm and 75mm. I know that magazines and write ups have said good stuff about the accufab 70mm T/B and its plenum BUT, in my head does not fit that 70mm is better than 75mm (OK, I know about rich conditions and the like) but come on is not a huge difference, plus 50-50 of the people say the 75mm does not matter.

I still think the more air that goes into the engine, the better the explosion. I hate this ****...but I guess im gonna go for the 70mm what tha hell, unless fokin Henry Ford tells me to go with the 75mm, plus Im on nitrous and I just dont like the idea of "too" rich condition.

Fok I hate this (THEY ARE THE SAME PRICE!!!) Oh well!

Get the 70mm, and as far as idle issues, they are usually from not setting the TPS correctly, and its not really that big of an issue, I got mine off fine using a sears screw driver with a long bit. Just put some ass behind it and it will come right out. Make sure the TPS is set right about 1.0. Also, make sure to recheck it when the car is running, off, my cars tps said 1.00. When we started it it went to 1.07, so just double check it to be safe. Good luck.

I remember in my old kmaro that I had to play with the TPS once I removed it by mistake once.

I have not heard people talking about the TPS re-install and the position (voltage) that it has to be.

How do you check for this? I guess those numbers are voltages, I got a multimeter if necessary.

You use a multimeter and turn the key to the on, not start, position. Now you take the red end of the multimeter and get into the wire on the TPS. I cant remember but I think it was brown or red. We used a paperclip to make it easy and keep us from gouching holes into the wires. Then just ground the black cable and touch the red one to the paperclip if you decide to use it. It should come up with a little moving right and left til you find the right spot. Good luck, keep it about 1.00 or .99. We changed it by the way it was turned and what position it was tightened in. Good luck.

What do you mean by this?

If Im not mistaken, lets say I plug it in and do the readings, if it says 1.08, then I try to move it (down? up? left? right?) and then try to lock it at .99-1.00. But my question is when you say that you changed it by the way it was turned you got me there. Coould you elaborate a bit more.

Thx!!!

Sorry, I knew that would mess someone up. Do exactly how you said to. We changed it by moving it around a little and tried to move it around until it was around 1. Just dont twist and pull and yank or anything. Also helps to have 2 people, one to tighten the bolts, and one to wiggle the tps around. Sorry I cant be more clear, its just kinda hard to explain.

Hey guys, is there a big difference between the Mac and the Accufab in terms of power and performance (forget looks)?

Thanks

Pretty much is all the same ****zle. Listen if you have phat pockets just go ahead and get the accufab combo (better performing of all) otherwise just get the other brands. They all give you next to nothing anyways, BUT in your head you think it breaths better. Thats the way I look at it.

Im getting the accufab Plenum - T/B, that way I'll sleep better at night, thinking my baby wont suffer from asthma :bang: :bang:
